Company’s Managed Services Are Key Growth Engine, Helping Large Healthcare Enterprises More Effectively Drive Consumer Behaviors and Control Costs
Adaptive HealthComm Science, Silverlink’s Innovative Approach to Healthcare Communications, Drives Dramatically Improved Results
Burlington, MA - Silverlink Communications® Inc., the leader in healthcare communications, today announced strong financial results in the first half of 2008, with revenues growing 100% over the first half of 2007. The company's growth is consistent with several years of strong fiscal gains, with 92% compounded annual growth reported over the last three years.
The company's managed service offerings, Benchmark Services, announced in March 2008, achieved immediate traction with healthcare enterprises and are a key engine of growth for the company. These multi-channel services provide the ability for healthcare enterprises to manage across entire communications processes, and provide an even greater impact in terms of cost savings, improved productivity, and increased revenues. Additionally Silverlink's Benchmark Services are the first to employ adaptive control and consumer marketing analytics to drive better results in healthcare communications.
These disciplines, called Adaptive HealthComm Science, have produced measurably improved results for healthcare enterprises including a 116% improvement in a Coordination of Benefits program by increasing the identification of alternative coverage and thereby reducing costs; a 69% improvement in a Population Health program to more effectively engage members to support better health behaviors; and a 185% improvement in a Collections program that drove revenues by increasing transfer rates to a collections specialist.
Silverlink's Benchmark services encompass multiple communications channels including voice, web, email, text messaging, fax, and direct mail. As of the end of the first half of 2008, Silverlink's installed base now totals more than 50,000 communications programs and over 70 customers from health plan enterprises such as managed care organizations, population health companies, pharmacy benefit managers, specialty pharmacies and medical supply companies.
According to IDC, Silverlink plays in one of healthcare's fastest growing segments. "Healthcare payer spending on business intelligence, information delivery and transparency is the fastest growing spending category in 2008 for healthcare payers," said Janice Young, IDC Program Director, Payer IT Strategies.
"Our results from the first half of this year point to that fact that many large healthcare enterprises are investing in innovative approaches to member communications, specifically to more effectively connect with and engage the healthcare consumer," said Stan Nowak, CEO and co-founder of Silverlink. "By managing across entire communications processes, applying consumer-based analytics, and adapting these disciplines to the unique characteristics of healthcare, our customers are maximizing their ability to drive healthcare behaviors and create loyalty within their member base."
Silverlink knows the healthcare consumer – and we know every point of contact offers a chance to impact their behavior.
