Silverlink Named as Finalist For the 2006 MITX Technology Awards

June 07, 2006

Third Annual MITX What’s Next Forum & Technology Awards Recognize Outstanding Technology Advancements in New England Region

Burlington, MA, June 6, 2006 – Silverlink Communications, the leading provider of proactive automated call services for healthcare, today announced that it has been named as a finalist for the 3rd Annual MITX Technology Awards.  The MITX Technology Awards recognize innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements.  The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) is the region’s premier association for thought leadership, technology trends, business networking and professional training and development.

Silverlink’s services enable its healthcare customers to design, deploy and manage HIPAA compliant interactive phone calls that are automated but recorded in a human voice. Serving six of the top ten health plans, and with a customer base that collectively represents over 150 million covered lives, Silverlink drastically reduces the cost of communicating with customers while improving financial results and customer care.

"Silverlink is honored to be part of this event,” remarked Stan Nowak, Silverlink’s co-founder, president and CEO.  “I’ve often said that technology is almost always interesting, but it’s only important if it solves real problems.  Silverlink’s innovation has made automated speech technology easily accessible to non-technical business users.   Our technology and services make it possible for healthcare companies to affordably interact with thousands of patients and members at a time.  For the first time, healthcare can easily and effectively execute mission critical communications – educating, collecting information, driving behavior.  They’re taking better care of people while reducing the cost of healthcare.  I’m extremely proud of that and am excited that MITX has recognized these accomplishments.”

“In its third year, the MITX Technology Awards have attracted some of the most distinguished technological innovations that the region has to offer,” said Kiki Mills, executive director of MITX.  “It is this tremendous interest that enables our organization to accomplish its mission of uniting the brightest minds in the technology community and honoring their outstanding achievement.”

Silverlink will be recognized with the other finalists in the category of Communications/Collaboration Application.  Winners will be announced at a ceremony tomorrow, June 7, 2006.
