Leader in Healthcare Communications Currently Working with Nine of the Top 10 Health Plans to Successfully Drive Member Behavior in Scale
Company Hires Key Executives Continuing its Focus and Investments in Healthcare Communications
Burlington, Massachusetts - Silverlink Communications® Inc., the leader in healthcare communications, today announced 40 percent revenue growth in 2007, based on sales to both new and existing customers. The company added 15 new customers during the year, and Silverlink now serves nine of the top 10 health plans in the United States and more than 50 healthcare enterprises overall. Silverlink's customer base includes managed care organizations, population health companies, pharmacy benefit managers, specialty pharmacies and medical supply companies.
Since its inception, Silverlink has executed more than 50,000 communications programs to help leading healthcare enterprises successfully drive healthcare behaviors across their member populations and significantly improve the consumer experience. Silverlink's services include adherence and persistency programs; member education and population health programs; and administrative programs such as Coordination of Benefits (COB) surveys.
"To the consumer, health plan products are largely undifferentiated on the basis of either benefits or network, and consumers experience their healthcare plan almost exclusively through the communications they receive from their plan," said Stan Nowak, CEO and co-founder of Silverlink. "Healthcare enterprises have an opportunity to clearly differentiate themselves through proactive and personalized communications, improving the member experience with each interaction and earning consumer affinity. In essence, for health plans, communications is the product."
"IDC's research projects that actionable information, interactivity and communications to better manage consumer behavior will be a leading spend category for healthcare plans through 2010," said Janice Young, Director, Healthcare Payer Strategies, Health Industry Insights, a subsidiary of IDC. "This will be critically important to health plans, not only to improve member satisfaction and retention but also to significantly lower costs."
The company also announced several key executive hires further strengthening its focus and investments in healthcare communications. George Van Antwerp joins Silverlink as Vice President of Outsourcing and Professional Services, where he designs and implements custom communications solutions. Van Antwerp brings in-depth expertise in pharmacy-related communications processes and was most recently at Express Scripts, where he increased mail order utilization and brand-to-generic migration across the organization.
Ellen Eisner joins Silverlink as Senior Director of Enterprise Services, spearheading client services operations to maximize the success of all customer programs. Eisner brings over 20 years of managed care experience to the company, previously running customer service operations at Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Jack Newsom, Sc.D., also joins Silverlink as Senior Director of Analytics, guiding data aggregation, data management, and overseeing the methodologies and processes associated with maximizing program results. Dr. Newsom brings a strong background in healthcare and marketing data analytics, previously at PharMetrics and Dendrite International.
"We're extremely excited and fortunate to have George, Ellen and Jack join the Silverlink team, bringing with them a wealth of collective healthcare knowledge and expertise," said Nowak. "The combination of our strong team, significant momentum, and investments in healthcare position Silverlink as a strategic partner for healthcare enterprises looking to maximize the results of their communications programs."
