He drives all service excellence and security metrics for the company with a focus on optimizing customer results across all communications programs. Paulo has over 20 years of experience in the technology field. He has a strong background in mission-critical IT infrastructure development, product development, workflow design and program management. Throughout his career, Paulo has delivered technology services for and on behalf of leading companies including StorageNetworks, Lycos, and Houghton Mifflin. He has an MBA from Babson College and an MA from MIT.
Dr. Berger is responsible for Silverlink's population health initiatives leading the company's strategy in areas such as adherence, clinical messaging, HEDIS, engagement and health behavior change. Her lifelong work has focused on using communications to significantly improve health outcomes.
With over 25 years of business and clinical experience, Dr. Berger is considered a national healthcare thought leader. She holds Chair and Executive Board positions with DMAA, and is involved in national committees on quality (NCQA and NQF) and the Center for Health Value Innovation. She is the Editor in Chief of American Journal of Pharmacy Benefit and has published over 100 articles in industry leading journals. Dr. Berger was previously the Chief Clinical Officer for CVS Caremark. She holds an MD and a Master in Health Law from Loyola University and a certificate in Healthcare Business Administration from the University of South Florida.
Tom is responsible for revenue generation and the retention and expansion of Silverlink's customer base. His focus is to develop a highly professional sales force that partners with clients to enable them to solve their toughest business challenges.
With over 20 years in technology sales, Tom has a proven track record of building productive sales organizations. Tom was a top performer at Pansophic Systems and Vice President of Sales at Lawson Software prior to moving into healthcare. He was instrumental in his role as Senior Vice President of Sales at HPR, and as an early member of the executive team, he helped lead the company to market leadership and a successful IPO. Tom was also President and COO of W3Health and served as a founding member of the Board of Directors at PharMetrics. Tom has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BS from the University of Vermont.
As Vice President, Sales Account Management, Bill is responsible for managing client relationships and identifying market trends that will shape future Silverlink solutions. His focus includes expanding the impact of current programs and working with clients to maximize the value of Silverlink programs.
Bill has more than 15 years of experience in technology and professional services, with expertise in product development, management, marketing and business development. Bill has worked with leading health plans and PBMs, helping shape their communications strategy. Prior to Silverlink, Bill worked at StorageNetworks, responsible for service portfolio management and business development and structured partnerships with EDS, WorldCom, BellSouth and Fujitsu. Bill holds an MS in Economics from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Babson College.
Fred is responsible for Silverlink's strategy in the managed care space with a specific focus on developing effective communications solutions that help health plans improve loyalty, retention and member satisfaction.
Fred is an innovator in using communications to help consumers better understand the changes brought about by healthcare reform.
With more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, Fred brings deep expertise in consumer and individual markets. Fred is the former Corporate Vice President of the Consumer Markets Strategic Business Unit at HCSC, the fourth largest health plan in the country. He was responsible for all aspects of the consumer market for nearly one million members. Fred holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
George is responsible for developing innovative communications solutions in the pharmacy space for both health plans and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). His focus is leveraging communications to impact operational efficiency, improve clinical outcomes and increase profitability — while educating healthcare consumers on the importance of adherence and cost-effective options for their prescription medications.
George has deep expertise within the PBM sector, previously holding senior director and consulting positions at Express Scripts and Ernst & Young LLP. His insights about healthcare can be found on his popular blog, Enabling Healthy Decisions. George has a BS from the University of Michigan and an MBA and Master of Architecture from Washington University.
Chuck is responsible for developing the company's key managed solutions as well as overall corporate awareness to create demand and recognition for Silverlink's services. His focus includes ensuring Silverlink solutions provide the maximum business impact for our customers. Chuck is also responsible for maintaining the company's current leadership position in healthcare communications through innovative marketing and positioning strategies.
Chuck brings over 15 years of technology and services marketing experience with leading companies such as StorageNetworks, GTE Internetworking and AT&T. Chuck is frequently quoted in the healthcare press and has appeared on the Boston Sunday Review radio show as a consumer marketing expert. He has an MS from Columbia University and a BA from SUNY Stony Brook.
Sean is responsible for the key development activities surrounding Silverlink's multi-channel communications platform. Technology development activities include product roadmap, architectural design, product management, software design and development, custom integrations, and quality assurance. Sean's focus is to create flexible and scalable technology that delivers integrated, multi-channel campaigns with personalized and preference-based communications.
Sean joined Silverlink in 2004 and brings over 25 years of experience in the development and deployment of database applications and their associated architectures. Prior to Silverlink, Sean was the founder of a management and technical consultancy, which provided expertise on database and web architectural development. Sean's background also includes technical management positions at Digitas, Dun & Bradstreet Software, and Harvard Community Health Plan. Sean holds a BS in computer science from Northeastern University.
Bruce is responsible for managing Silverlink's strategic financing endeavors as well as the company's day-to-day financial administration. Additionally Bruce oversees Silverlink's Human Resource efforts.
Bruce has over 15 years experience in financial management in fast-paced high growth industries. Prior to joining Silverlink, Bruce served as Managed Care Division Controller with Serono, Inc. where he was responsible for business planning and deal analysis with major managed care and prescription benefit managers. He has broad management expertise in all aspects of worldwide company financial planning and administration and gained audit and tax experience with leading Public Accounting firms. Bruce has a BS from Northeastern University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Richard joined Sigma Partners in 2000, bringing to the firm 16 prior years experience founding and running software companies. Before Sigma, Richard co-founded Phase Forward Incorporated, a provider of service and software infrastructure for managing pharmaceutical clinical trials over the Internet. Previously, he was Vice President of Operations for Vermeer Technologies, creators of FrontPage and acquired by Microsoft in 1996. Richard also held professional service, senior product management and IS management roles at Sybase, Epoch Systems (a subsidiary of EMC) and MicroTouch Systems.
Richard received a BA in mathematics from the University of Durham in England. He shares responsibility for Sigma's investment in Apriori, CaseNet, Silverlink, Visual Mining and Wordstream. He has also been an advisor to many startup companies, including Vignette, OnDisplay, FirstSense, OnExchange and QXL.com.
Peter is a Managing Partner of HLM Ventures. His venture investment activity has been focused on health services, medical technologies and health care information technologies. Prior to joining HLM in 1992, Peter was a Managing Director at Alex. Brown & Sons, where he directed research in health care services and managed care. Previously, he was a research analyst at William Blair Company and a strategy consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton. Peter received an AB degree from Bowdoin College and an MBA from Columbia University.
John joined Sigma in 1996. With over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, a business unit manager, and an investor, John uses motivation, enthusiasm, and his own technology and operational expertise to support Sigma's portfolio companies. Throughout his career, he has held executive management positions, created new business units and departments, and sponsored new projects at some of the industry's most successful technology companies. Most recently he was the President & CEO of Vermeer Technologies, Inc., the developers of FrontPage, the leading Web authoring tool.
He holds a BSE from Tufts and an MS from Worcester Polytechnic State University. He has been responsible for Sigma's investments in Blue Agave Software, Datasage, Digital Music Network, EasyAsk, Novera Software, Oberon Software, Onexchange, OpenPages, Reflectent Software, and Silverlink.
Arthur Spiegel is an entrepreneur with more than 40 years experience in healthcare. Formerly President of Computer Sciences Corporations (CSC) Healthcare Group and of APM Inc. He was previously Co-Chairman of Accretive Health Inc., and currently sits on the board. He also sits on the Boards of Silverlink Communications, Inc, Biostorage Technologies, Sound Inpatient Physicians and Accolade Inc. He is former Chairman of the Board of Amicas, Inc., MDEverywhere, and Lifemasters Supported SelfCare and was on the boards of Lynx Medical Systems, Inc., Eyetel Imaging, Inc., all sold.
Mr. Spiegel founded APM Management Consultants in 1974 and grew the firm into the nation's largest stand-alone consulting firm dedicated to healthcare. In 1996, he sold APM to CSC, where, as President reporting to the CEO, he established and built the CSC Healthcare Group into one of the top four technology service companies in the industry, according to Healthcare Informatics. Serving health plans, providers, and life sciences companies, the group provided leading-edge consulting and systems integration services, claims processing software, business process outsourcing for health plans, and IT outsourcing throughout the healthcare industry. He retired from CSC in 2002.
He has served on not for profit boards, including service as President of The New York chapter of the March of Dimes, and Secretary of the National Center for Health Education. He has published in business journals including the Harvard Business Review and The Hospital Forum and has been named 'One of the Most Influential Individuals in Health Care IT' by the leading trade publication, Advance for Health Information Executives.
